Preparation
1. Client
l Assessthe client’s need to have linen(床單)changed.
l Determineif the client’s present condition permits a change of bed linen.
l Talkwith the client about the plan and have his agreement
l Askthe client if he need to urinate(小便) beforethe procedure.
2. Equipment
Linens (in order of use ):
Bottom sheet (大單)
Middle-size sheet (中單)
Quilt cover (被套)
Pillowcase (枕套)
Brush (placed in a square plate)
Disposable brush cover(一次性床刷套)
Clean clothes, if necessary
Environment
l Adjustto a comfortable room temperature
l Closewindows or pull curtain closed
l Avoidthe time of dinning or treatment.
1. Gatherlinens and put them on a equipment car, then bring to room.
2. Talkwith client and explain how he or she can be involved in the procedure.
3. Closewindows.
4. Arrangefurniture and equipment for convenience of use.
5. Lowerthe head of bed so that it is flat or as low as the payment-defi.comclient can tolerate.
6. Wear amask.
7. Removepillow to the opposite side of the bed.
8. Helpclient into a side-lying position (側(cè)臥)
9. Loosenall layers of the sheets on your side of the bed ,including bottom sheet,middle-size sheet , rubber drawsheet(橡膠單)
10. Push dirty middle-size sheet under or asclose as possible to the client.
11. Sweep away debris(碎屑) on the rubber drawsheet,then put it on the client’s body.
12. Push dirty bottom sheet under or as closeas possible to the client.
13. Sweep away debris on the mattress(床墊) carefully and gently, pay attention to sweep awaydebris under pillow(枕頭)and client’s body.
14. Place clean bottom sheet on the mattresswith client on the opposite side of the bed.
15. Unfold the bottom sheet and cover themattress. make sure the cleanbottom sheet is underneath any used linen .
16. Tuck(卷) the topof the sheet under the head of bed.
17. Make a perpendicular(垂直的) corner of the bottom sheet at the head of the bed .
18. Move to the foot of the bed and repeatstep16and 17 orderly.
19. Tuck the remaining(剩余的)side of bottom sheet well under the mattress from headto foot.
20. Put down the rubber drawsheet.
21. Center clean middle-size sheet on therubber drawsheet, unfold half of it and push antherpart of it under the clien執(zhí)業(yè)獸醫(yī)t .Tuck sides of middle-size sheet and rubber drawsheet together under the mattress .Smooth out wrinkles.(皺褶)
22. Help client into a supine position.(仰臥位)
1. Tellthe client why there is a hump(隆起) of linen in the center of the bed .Makethe client comfortable .
2. Moveto the other side of bed.
3. Assistclient to the other side of the bed,place inside-lying position.
4. Loosen(松開) all layers of the sheets.
5. Pulldirty middle-size sheet to side of bed and roll into a bundle at the foot ofthe bed.

7. Gentlypull dirty bottom sheet to side of bed and roll into a bundle at the foot ofthe bed. then place dirty middle-size sheet and bottom sheet together under theequipment car .Never place dirty linen on the floor.
8. Pullclean bottom sheet across mattress and straighten under client.
9. Repeatstep 16,17,18.
10. Gather bottom sheet into your hand, leanaway from bed, and pull linens downward at an angle. Tuck remaining bottomsheet well under the mattress.
11. Put down the rubber drawsheet,pull clean middle-size sheet across mattress and straighten under client.
12. Tuck sides of the sheets under mattress.Smooth out wrinkles.
13. Help the client into a supine position andadjust the pillow.
14. Change a clean quilt cover.
15. Make a small pleat to allow room forclient’s feet. This allows room for client’s feet and prevents sheets frompressing on client’s toes.
16. Remove pillow from bed and changepillowcase.
17. Return bedside table to former position.Adjust the bed to a comfortable lying height.
18. Assist client to comfortable position.
19. Dispose of soiled laundry.

l Ifthere are any kinds of tubes the client wear ,you should check if the tube istwisted(扭曲) or pressed during the whole procedure.

2. Observethe state of illness(病情) at all time .
3. Thenurse feels no stress to back or limbs during the procedure.
